I am pretty well experienced with Citrix, or so I think, but have come across a strange problem. We have 9 Term servers and most users have no issues with any of them. However, we have a couple of people in IT that connect to servers directly through an ICA connection in Citrix Program Neighborhood. Most users just go through a publish app thats load balanced. A couple of the IT users click on it, and just see a blue screen, and never get to the login. I dont have an issue, the rest of the IT staff has no issues, and regular users have no issue. But a couple of these IT users do, and I can not figure it out. DNS and everything on there PC is fine, and they can connect via ICA to the other 8 servers just fine. The odd thing is, they can connect to this same server using RDP, but we need them to use ICA. It's not a permissions issue, because it never gets to the point where they would enter a log in. Any ideas?

Hi,
is this a user-bound or workstation-bound problem? what happens if a "problem-user" logs in from another workplace?

Did you try to reinstall the ica-client?

Might be a profile issue. Try clearing off the local profiles for these users on the server(s).

If the PC's that are getting the blue screen are Windows 2000 PC's and the servers they are connecting to are Windows 2000 servers with the roll up service pack applied that is the problem. I believe they came out with a new service pack roll up, if not there are patches from Citrix that fix the problem (and create a few new ones but at least you will be able to sign on).

I've had this same problem on a few select PCs. But it has now happened to both XP and Windows 2000 PCs. They are connecting to Windows 2000 SP4 MF XP servers. Thought it was the Microsoft license issue, but the "problem" PCs can connect via RDP, just not through Citrix. They do get the published applications showing in PN, just when they go to run an app or connect directly through custom connections, they just get a blue screen.

Anyone found the fix for this?
