blue screen between boot and logon

I have modified by boot and logon screen for Win XP Pro. The boot screen looks like the Longhorn boot screen and the Logon screen is all white with Angelina Jolie's face on the right, my user account name on the left. I like this setup, except for one little thing; there is still a flash of blue screen between the boot screen and the logon screen for about 0.25 seconds. That just doesn't fit with my setup at all.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this tacky blue screen?
