I have seen similar issues dealing with banyan client in earlier releases, but this goes back in 96-97 were bancom.vxd caused problems. I am not sure what version of the client you are running but you should be at 8.62 (1) win95/win98.
Make sure your servers have the right patches installed as well.
For blue screen after installing a vines client, try a fresh install of your OS, remove microsoft networking and install banyan client first. Reboot then install microsoft networking if needed.
Before we did our conversion to 2000 pro, we were running 95 stations with banyan clients and had no serious issues.
