I received the blue screen/unmountable drive stop message a few days ago Went into Recovery console and tried chkdsk /r many times without any luck Then tried fixboot and recieved the message that it was successful, typed exit and tried to reboot but now I get the message:
Window root\system32\hal dll is missing or corrupt please reinstall a copy of the above file
Can someone offer any suggestions on the new error message
(period key does not work - using old laptop)
