I may be having a dumb moment here, but I am digging through some folders in Windows Explorer and some entries are in blue. What does this mean?

Thanks

How can I get to these compressed files or find where they originated from?

Double Clicking on these files will open them provided there ia the relevant program available. However, if you look at the properties of the folder they're in and go to the advanced tab, the Compress Folder box will probably be checked. Whatever, don't worry, it's saving you disk space

This can occur if you run the Disk Cleanup tool and have the "Compress old files" box checked. As it says, any old files that you hardly use are compressed to save space.

Windows will decompress them as and when you eventually open them. Or as previously stated you can remove the compressed file attribute from the Properties.
