Blue >> Overlay Icon ???

Plugged in a Flash Drive yesterday ... XP Pro automatically detected it ... however, after attempting to open a windows wave file contained on the drive, all my "DATA" icon's; txt, xls, jpg, doc, etc, are showing an Icon Overlay that is a blue square with white >> characters ... blue square has rounded corners. Not sure if this was the wave file or the Drive Initialization process.

Run: Malwarebytes, rkill and no change ... removed TweakUI.exe,3 from shortcut overlay registry ... but this blue overlay isn't affecting shortcuts.

All attempts to frame the proper question to determine what this Icon Overlay is have failed ... any help would be appreciated

Just reviewed the HLM registry entries for overlay Icon's

I backed up hlm:Software.Microsoft.Windows.Explorer.ShellOverlayIdentifiers

I then Deleted the defaults for;
- Offline Files
- OverlayExcluded
- OverlayPending
- OverlayProtected

The fields in bold were locked so went down to safemode administrator and removed from there ... the icon overlay is now gone
