My 10 GB Seagate HDD has blown thanks to a power supply surge - is it possible to replace the board with one from an identical drive?. There is no sign of any drive motor activity when it is powered up.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks

If you could get an identical drive with an identical E/C level it would be possible. Other than identical E/C level might trash it.
