I was reading this article:

and it occurred to me that this might be a way to improve customer service in Macola. I am not a blogger and have only read a few of them but if this could be incorporated into or work with Macola, it could be useful. I am thinking that a user could check a box in OE or PO that would open a blog under that oe or po number. Then as it passes through the various stages, users could update it with information that is not captured by Macola. Information like the PO has been issued and confirmed, ship dates, in transit location or updates, where it is in the our fabrication department, out for delivery with ETA information. Manufacturing processes could be augmented with status updates. Even equipment maintenance could be tracked. Add in sales functions and now you are treading in CRM country.

Just a thought.

What you are discussing is one of the things that eSynergy can do for you. You can add unlimited notes per sales order. Do not confuse this with the SYSNOTES file in progression, this is a lot different.

If you have ever placed a tech support call with Exact, you may have seen on the customer portal the historyof the call including data time stamps, etc. This is exactly what the eSynergy notes on a Sales Order would look like.

Addin the worflow and document management features of eSynergy and this is more than any blog you would ever need. Oh yeah eSynergy does CRM too. I think you need to attend a few webinars on eSynergy to fully appreciate it.
