We have an irate person calling our office whom is in fact displaying his callerID. We were able to block him via the ani= step in vectoring to our main number VDN, but is there a place to block this person from dialing individual DID's within our company? We are using ISDN for that group. We are currently running CM 2.2.2 with call center, attendant vectoring, etc..

I poked around at trying to stip and replace digits in the trunk group with no luck..

there has been quite a few posts about using ec500 to block an individual from calling into the system,, do not have it so have not messed with it..

if that is not an option, (depending on how many did's you had) you could setup a vdn for each did, have incoming-call-handling convert the DID to the vdn#, and assign the extension # through variables (third page) so all of them could goto a vecor, test for ani, then route to the extension.. although if the guy figures out how to block his caller id, it would all be pointless..

Thanks for the quick info!!! Unfortunately we have hundreds of DID's, and we are using up our 5 free licenses to EC500 (you do get 5 for free in CM versions in case you want to check it out).

Are also are pursuing Verizon to make it stop.. he has called our office over 15,000 times already (war dialing)

We are also contacting authorities...

I wish I had that amount of time on my hands!

LOL

I think all phone people only wish they had that much time. This is something (Like status hunt group) that Avaya, Lucent and even AT&T should have made a solution for years ago.

I feel your CO can block that number from comming into your DID range though.

Hell, there are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something.

I know -
We have called Verizon and they "say" the blocked it, but really havent - I even faked my extension to project his number out and called and it didnt block it -

You are right, it's a shame there isnt a reverse setting in ch isdn public or ch public

I was glad to see this thread. Now I know we are not alone -the crazy customers are just getting worse. I tried setting up our switch to block inbound calls to the DID's and had no luck at all. Maybe we should petition for a type of DNC list for business. We follow the rules when it comes to calling customers, if not we pay dearly. It seems a residential caller can phone a business line as often as they wish without any penality.

This is how you fix your issue.

Create an xmobile station like this:

Cell Phone Number: 'ANI NUMBER'
Mapping Mode: origination

AND create a COR with this:

Calling Party Restriction: origination

The EC500 licenses are pretty cheap though aren't they? I thought about $25e. We rarely have more than 2 or 3 demon dialers annoying us at any given time so i would assume rotating out the bothersome numbers over say 5 licenses 1st come 1st serve ($125) would be pretty feasible.

I have ec500 licenses but when I go to creat an XMOBILE station it doesn't take and tells me 'x-station mobility: feature is not activated'.

anyone have any idea what this cost?
