We have a site running IP Office 500 R11.0 and they have about 80 users making outbound marketing calls. Whenever they call a prospective customer who requests not to be called again in the future, they block that person number in User Rights ... creating a short code......put the outgoing number and then make it as Barred.
The challenge with this method is that they have more than 90 numbers for blocking per day.

Is there any better way to achieve this blocking and is there a limit on how many "Barred" Short Codes we can create on one IPO?

Why don't they have a dialer that handles this? :)

Creating Barred shortcodes for users isn't really a long term solution, you'll end up with thousands of numbers and eventually max out configuration size.

Guess the poor mans solution would be to have their outbound dialing go through VM Pro and check the number against a database before letting it out.
But if they have a decent volume of calls a dialer is what they should have.

Thanks.
We are actually trying to position ACCS for them.

Confirm ACCS will fix this headache?

ACCS, or ACR ( Avaya Call Reporter from XIMA) are the way to go for this.
ACR will be less cost, and easier to learn. It's defiantly going to be a better experience for your agents and supervisors.

ACCS has ALOT more features, but does not look as pretty, and requires more brainpower to setup and use.
