Blocking outgoing number

Hi

Forgive me if this is obvious but I can not find a solution to this. One of our users wants to have it so when he calls out it doesn't give his number to the person he is calling.

I can get the S shortcode to change the number from his direct dial number to the main office number. But he wants it to show as no number, and just for him only. He is one of the directors so I have to try!

Is this possible?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try using the 'W' instead of the 's.' Z

Hi,

Easiest way is to create a user shortcode as follows:

Shortcode: ?
telephone number: .W
Feature: Dial
Line group id: 0(or whatever line group you use for outgoing)

The providor will only let you send out Ported numbers or DID's out the curcuit. You can try adding "W" instead of S. W will withhold the outgoing caller ID, but everytime Ive tried this it never works. Most providors have it set up so if nothing is received from the IPO, they will send out the main number be default. Its likely your providor will have to be involved in helping you with this solution.
