Hi There,

We've lan with internet access on offer through a system beyond our control. We want to block access to the internet on one or two PC's.

Wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the best way to do this? (It would need to be at the local PC).

Thanks in advance,

Enda.

You can try the evaluation version of SurfPass, it will control up to 10 users and 3 computers:
If you want to block all users on one or two PCs then do a Start, Run, IPCONFIG /all and write down the DNS server entries. Then Control Panel, Internet Options, Content, Content Advisor - Enable, Approved sites, and enter the DNS server IP addresses you copied and specify Never.

If you have a spare workstation (nothing great), you could set up a squid proxy server relatively easy. What OS are you running on the PC's?
