I am wondering if it is possible to block internet access through a lan using win98, I need this to be done by blocking users from changes their lan settings ( proxy server) within Internet Explorer.

thanks,

Hi,

I think this can be done using the Internet Explorer Administrators Kit. Go to
and download the kit. If you mess around with it, you should end up being able to block the connections tab.

Group Policies do the same settings. It will restrict any or all the option pages in IE.
Here is a hint: Set the "Make Proxy settings per machine" policy.
