Blocking Find Target On Shortcut

I am trying to find a way to prevent my users from going to a shortcuts properties and selecting Find Target and getting access to the folder on the network were the database is.
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Have the shortcut just point to a seperate program which actually starts the app in the manner you choose. Have that App / Icon be installed on each users computer. Secure the (shortcut) app to not allow any operation.

Easier if you just make the (shortcut) app be in real VB.
