Blocking and SP4

I just applied SP4 to our sql2000 server. Now when I do a sp_who2 and look at activity, I see spid's that are blocking themselves. Any explnation for this "new" behavior.

Yes, this means that the SPID is waiting for the disk to respond with the data it wants. You'll notice that the wait type is an IO wait type.

This is new in SQL 2000 SP4.
