Hello everyone,

If ya reading this you have got as far as understanding what I am trying to do. I have been working with Firewall 1 now for about a year, and on a whole its a simple product. However something I have been wanting to do for ages, is control what is accessed through it.

I have tried to block user access to files through a rule with resources, but had no 'joy'.

I would like to block all access to *.zip,*.exe,*.com,*.bat etc, but dont have the knowhow to do it.

I am kinda hoping there some people out there who have come across this before and know how to do it.

Any help appreciated and thanks for taking the time to read this garbled mess.

Cheers
Andy Brown :)

I'm not sure if this is what you mean but I think you are on about MIME attachment stripping from e-mails ?

If so, this requires CVP (Content Vectoring Protocol) which is found under the SMTP configuration tab. From there, you can specify exactly what attachments you do not want to enter your network and which you do - everything that you do not specify will be let in

If this was not what you meant I apologize

Daniel
