Hello,
Our Lan Admin uses surfcontrol.com to monitor all our surfing details, he has blocked all useful links including all Anon surf, free proxy....prgrams.

Can any one suggest solution to bypass his filter.

Much appreciated.

Being a Network Engineer that uses SurfControl as a network monitoring tool. I can tell you that there is no real way you can bypass this block if the software is configured properly. Also, since all my policies are driven by Management remote proxies are blocked for a particular reason, I really don't see any "usefulness" about them, if someone can change my opionion I'm open to re-evaluation. david e

if you have a business reason to go to a site, I cannot imagine why he would block it. Take him your reason. The one thing you can't give for your heart's desire is your heart. - Lois McMaster Bujold

If I caught someone at my company doing this they would get in big trouble. If the administrator has blocked certain sites like proxies, it is for a good reason - THEY DO NOT WANT YOU TO USE THEM.

Wait till you get home to check out those non-work related sites...

P.S. I'm still working on your FTP solution. I should have something for you today. david e

All what you give me is CRAP, however i don't need your help i was able to bypass the stupid thing for 3 dollars, My dear experts go to liveadvice.com and learn more how to improve yourselves, i feel pitty on you all.

Enjoy

robory, what everyone gave you is exactly what they should have. This is a business computing site devoted to discussion of business computing issues. This is NOT a home for happy hackers. Trying to bypass the rules put in place by your management is hacking.

If someone at liveadvice.com told you how to bypass your company's security, they were not only being irresponsible but possibly opening themselves up to legal action from your employer. If someone in my organization did what you've done, I would certainly go after them and and anyone who knowingly helped them. We're not here to play, we're here to get useful work done.

I haven't lost my mind - I know it's backed up on tape somewhere ....

Yet another satisfied customer.....

One note, this forum is not setup to assist people to bypass "Security Systems" that are in place by other system administrator. You could have probably fixed your problem yourself if you would have been mature enough to sit down and talk about it with your sysadmin, instead you tried to get us to undermine the work of your company. I think I can speak for the majority of people here...that is NOT what this forum is setup for. If you want to discuss this further outside of the forum not a problem…..

Lets discuss security issues, I’m willing if you are…..

Robory-

let me point something out to you and then you think hard about it. ANYTHING printed on the internet nowdays is archived by a variaty of places. This means ANYTHING you write can and will be at my or any other employer's fingertips via a search. I for one will take a name and crosscheck the newsgroup archives and see what the person likes to write. This means that if the clean cut kid in front of me has a record of leaving nasty posts to people, he WILL NOT get the job.. I dont care how good he/she is.

With your post here, you have started tying the rope to hang yourself at a professional level. If you can not keep it professional on boards, then get off and do something else. If you want to hack your own companies network, then go hang at the hack boards and take your chances of being found out. OR- pull yourself together and grow up. If you dont like the restrictions, make friends with the admin and see if a deal can not be reached. Many times what the company *policy* is and what actually is done are two different things.

It's really YOUR choice and nobody will care when you get canned for having bypassed the rules. And if word gets around and it will, that you were canned for breaking security rules, you will find many doors shut to you. The world of IS is very small and many people know people and they all chat among themselves.
