WE are trying to build mailboxes on a range of extensions to serve a new office, but none of the extensions If I try to transfer a call to one of those mailboxes, I get the generic greating rather than their mailbox. If you dial the number to access the mailbox administration, you get the generic greating as if you don't have a mailbox. It is as if the switch and the Mod Msg are not synching up with this range. I have built a new extension in a different range and it works just fine.

thoughts?

Did you modify your private-numbering table in CM to add your new extension range?

change private-numbering 1

Thanks,

If you log in to a working mailbox can you send a message to one of the new ones ?

Prior to making an entry in the Private Numbering field for these DID numbers, we were NOT able to send to them from a working mbox. The 'greeting' or recorded name was actually the 'Welcome to MM, please enter the extension..."

thanks for your interest!

In the message testing that was done did you double## then the mailbox number? This normally would allow you to reach the mailbox without extension defined?

Never heard of, nor tried that. Thanks. I'll give it a whirl.
