Hi All

I am having difficulty with attachments on Outlook XP. Some files are been blocked. I'm receivng them under Outlook 97 so it's not the list of Exchange allowed File types. I can't see any such list under Outlook XP. Is there? I'm using Exchange 5.5 at work but it's also happening through the ISP with my Home email. Any Help would be appreciated.

summary of error as follows

You can check out this article on how to change these settings....

You will probably need to copy the entire link into your browser address line.

Thanks

The article was spot on. However I think I was punished for my curiosity. I saved the file to disk and opened it. It then dissappeared from that directory and a few minutes later I got a message saying something was trying to access my address book. I need to upgrade my virus checker.

You could also try downloading Tweak-XP, it now has an Outlook XP tool where you can specify which attachments you want to allow in OutlookXP.
