Block USB Storage Device through registry

Hi,

We want to block users from connecting their USB keys to their machines.
Does anyone know a registry entry that can do this instead of us buying software that will do the same thing!

Iknow something can be doen with Windows XP Sp2 but we havent upgraded to this yet. We're still using Windows XP Pro SP1.

Greg's solution works only for already installed USB devices. There is a rather elegant way to disable the use of pen drives by restricting user access to the usbstor.pnf system file that installs the devices when inserted:
