Have an issue with callers with blocked Caller ID, 90% are from the county jail considering we are the County Services building. I want to block these calls and the Service Provider cannot do this. Any guesses? I've beat my resources to death!

Mitel 5000 5.1.0.20

Thank you in advance!

Are you using NuPoint for Voicemail? If so you can do this fairly easily by using a mailbox as a filter. If not I know there is no way to direct incoming calls by CLID on a 3300 without some external system/software, but am not familiar enough on the 5000 to give you an answer.

No, using the embedded Voicemail. I considered directing to a VM box but no way to route the CLID. Thank you for your reply

I'm not sure if you can block them but you could use Call Routing Tables to direct them to a message on the system or even silence and then hangup.
In the Call Routing Tables use Outside Calling Party Number as your Call Routing Key and use 'E' as your first pattern, this will route calls based on no caller id received.
Remember to use '+' as the last pattern to route all other calls to catch any Caller ID.

sarond,
Where is the "Call Routing Tables" I have NPM and cant find them anywhere ?

@Anonymorse,

NPM is not needed, Call Routing Tables are in the Mitel 5000 DB Programming.
System/Trunk-Related Information/Call Routing Tables

Darn it, sorry totally misread it.
I have a 3300 not 5000 booo.
I did however find in Nupoint in the Call Flow a Caller-ID filter which enables me to block certain numbers, the downside is I have to pass calls through the Nupoint but its better than nothing.
Thanks

At the risk of mentioning the "C" word...

If you have a 2901/2911/2921 etc router and access to IOS 15.3(t) and a dual E1/T1 WIC card you can do some pretty exotic call blocking just by placing the router ahead of the 3300 and passing the PRI through the router. Decent Docs on the config. how-to can be found in the "CVOICE" training guide. (Prolly also on their web site if you have the patience to find it)

with incoming calls you can:
Block specific numbers
Block partial or entire ranges of contiguous numbers
Block entire area codes
Translate certain specific numbers to immediately go to the voice mailbox of the DNIS digits rather than ring the called party (while not affecting other calls)

we now return to our regularly scheduled program, already in progress
