Several off are lines seems to be pranked call everyday from several number.

The numbers on the caller id is legit but when we pick up it is a prank.

It seem like spam caller are maskign there caller id as legit numbers.

Any help will be appreciated, desperate.

have 2 t1 pri lines suing ip office 7 suite.

The only thing you can do is report it as it looks like someone is spoofing the number. there is no point in blocking it as you will loose genuine customer calls

The only way of identifying where the call is from is using the CLI, how would you expect the system to know the difference between a genuine call from it or a spoofed one ? Unfortunately the tools you see on films where a map shows up on a laptop and it jumps from exchange to exchange until it finds the caller are fictitious :)

If you are in the US then prank calls are a form of harassment and you can take legal action by reporting this to the authorities. You should start by documenting the CLI (fake or not), date and time. Once you have compiled a list that you feel constitues a real and observable interruption in your ability to conduct business then you can involve the police. What these people likely don't understand is that while you can spoof caller ID you CAN NOT spoof the billing telephone number which is associated with every call and can be obtained from the phone company via subpoena.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT REDIRECT THESE CALLS! I have had people ask me to redirect prank calls to an external number for their competitor or some other organization. Don't do it! Redirecting these calls could constitute harassment to a 3rd party on your part and end you up on a bit of trouble.

I had issues with our former provider calling each DID on the new PRI service we connected with their competition for our in house system. The telemarketer would call each DID in sequence asking to speak to "the owner of this residential line." I set up an ICR just for that incoming CLID and directed it to our fax machine.

I did a similar thing, where by some guy kept calling and hassling. I set up a VM module called Surrey Police. Every time he called he got "Thank you for calling Surrey Police. Press 1 for .... blah blah" Needless to say, the calls stopped.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

star for that HSM, i like it. I'd previously been using peters method of forwarding the calls back to themselves but that costs, even if it is funny.

Maybe queue them against a group with some funky MOH? run their phone bill up a bit?
