Is there a way to block phone numbers, or redirect to a non existent extension, based on caller id?
I thought of creating a new Incomming Call route with the blank incomming number and setting the incomming caller id as the number/person we would like blocked. I'm not sure if that is an option because we already have our default ICR with a blank icomming number routing calls to the auto attendant.

1) Create a short code that set to "Busy".

2) Enter the short code as the destination of the incoming call route that matches the number.

3)Keep very quiet about it, some Telecomms regulators have a big downer on CLI blocking.

I already have a ICR with blank Incoming Number/Incoming Caller ID with the destination as my attendant. Would adding another ICR with no Incomming Number and Incoming Caller ID set to the number I wish to block cause any problems?

It should be fine, the blank route will only be used when there is no other matching route for the call.

Testing by setting to your own CLI and calling yourself first.

Multiple routes can be set with the same presentation digits (or none)& different CLI, however remember that presented digits take priority over CLI.

This means if the number is CLI is blocked on a blank route calling another dedicated DDI will still connect.

If you wish to use this to block all calls then you need to duplicate every incomming call route.
