we have a customer with a large pvm card - r3L - they changed system admin password and don't remember it - i tried the typical backdoor password with no luck - is it possible to disable this or did that code not work on the pvm card??

Hi upstateny,
I don't think you can block the backdoor. Where would Avaya be then? Did you try 2537?
-Chris

yep - 2537 doesn't work - seems to me that it did work before on this same customer - would be curious to hear any other thoughts from anyone

are you trying this on site?? you need to be on site or conf called in!! it will not work if you dial in with *7 and trans yourself

2537 will work instead of the current admin password and get you into the admin menu, but as dalasace said you must do it on site.
