Block not displaying

I am using ACAD 2002 LT. I have copied a block from another drawing and placed it on a specific layer in another drawing. I used the paste as block command. When I turn off all layers other than the specific layer that I mentioned above, only a portion of the block is visible. Any ideas on the error in my process?

It would seem that a portion of your block has elements on a specific layer which is turned off. Turn on one layer at a time, observe when block portions reappear, then you'll know which layer had been off. Or explode one of the blocks, do a "list" on the elements and find out layer names.
