I'm using an outside spam filter service for SOME of the domains on my server. Apparently spammers don't honer MX record changes so even though I've changed my MX records to point to the filtering service, some of the mail still gets through bypassing the filter service.

Is there a way to block incoming mail for specific domains if is is not from specific IP adresses?

Thanks,
Tim

You could consider putting a mailtfilter/procmail instruction in the .qmail-default for the domain itself.
I have addressed this another way. My filtering gateway at MX 10 has all the filtering rules for spam/virii. My mail server also has the same rules. My mail server allows the gateway to relay without scanning, otherwise if an external SMTP makes a direct connect to mail server (MX 20) then the mail is scanned and dealt with. It adds load to the mail server, but MOST spambots do honor the MX hierarchy. They don't have time to mess around with lots of MX nonsense. Often, they'll send to every MX in your list, you can't help that but deal with it as I've mentioned above.

Good luck.
