Is there any way to have the Partner send *67 before every outgoing call without the caller having to dial it in each time?

You could put it on a button then they just hit that button and it will grab a line put in the code and the caller then dials the number they want.
Be for warned that the party you are calling may not even answer if they see that you have blocked your caller ID number.

Telprog,
I am afraid I have a group that want's everything done for them by the technology. I would get the complaint that it is not any easier to push an additional button than it would be to dial the *67. Thanks for the idea though.

They are aware of the customer not answering the call because of the caller ID block. They don't care about that part as long as the called party can not get a number to call back and bother them (They want the customer to be calling an 800 number for support).

I was wishing that a Parner could send out a set of digits before it dialed an outside number. Guess that is a lottery wish.

mike sandman has a product called a tiny dialer
i dont know if this link will take you to it since its a pdf

anyway you put it on the line before the partner system and it will autodial the code automatically

In that case something like skip555 mentioned is about the only way you can have the code put in with out the caller dialing it or pressing a button.

you could also look into a t1 line or a fractinal t1

they could combine voice and data get good long distance rates the call would register out of area on caller id

Silly thought, but how about getting telco to set "all call restrict" on the lines? Then users may have to dial *82 occasionally, but if you're using POTS lines, it's a one-time record order charge, and it may be free. Look in the front of the phone book under "services".

It simply says that the default for the line becomes "block sending caller ID info unless I explicitly allow it" instead of the normal "send caller ID info unless I restrict it".

Saves a lot of work.

hdingman,
That is a very good idea, so simple it didn't even dawn on me.

Hi all,
They do realise that "blocking" doesn't work at all if the called party has a PRI for trunks. ANI always shows the calling number if available unless blocked from higher up.

BTW, our local utility found out that if they request retransmission of the data block for the incoming call, Verizon has scrapped the block and rebuilds it by filling in CID from ANI, so they get CID even if it's blocked. A little software glitch at the CO...
