Hi,
Is it possible to block an incomming call from outside number on the Voice Gateway(H323) ?

How can I configure it, please?

Many thanks in advance

Cheers

Depends, what are you trying to block? ALL calls from the outside world? Don't see that being the case. If you are trying to block calls on certain circuits, why not configure the trunks to be made outbound only?

Thanks for your answer.

no, i want block only one number (Example: 0123456789) from the outside!

Need to double check, but you should be able to do so by dial peers and pots. Look at the configuration on the GW, and you should find the relevant dial-peers for all of your other calls. In there, you should be able to specify the CLI, and if you don't map that CLI to any dial-peers, the call will be dropped.

here is the voice translation-rule for all incoming calls:

voice translation-rule 1
rule 1 // /0/ type subscriber subscriber
rule 2 // /00/ type national national
rule 3 // /000/ type international international
rule 4 reject /^0123456789/

voice translation-profile 1
translate calling 1
translate called 2

but the roule4 (rule 4 reject /^0123456789/) does not match!

The call will be not dropped!!!

I think what you have there is for outgoing. mind if I ask which GW you are using? Is it 6508 / CMM or AS GW? I don't think the translation part is what you are looking for. There should be some pots that you need to configure. Let me try to dig out something and see whether I could provide more info. Sorry for the vague information, but as you know, voice GW is one of those things that once configured, you don't touch for years....

Here is the example for blocking the incoming calls

Create a voice translation rule and add the numbers you want to block.

BR1(config)#voice translation-rule 1
BR1(cfg-translation-rule)#rule 1 reject /3234441234/
BR1(cfg-translation-rule)#rule 2 reject /3234442345/
BR1(cfg-translation-rule)#rule 3 reject /5155556*/

2. Create a voice translation profile.

BR1(config)#voice translation-profile reject_ANI
BR1(cfg-translation-profile)#translate calling 1

3. Apply the translation profile to your inbound dial-peer.

dial-peer voice 1 pots
Incoming called-number .
direct-inward-dial
port 0/2/0:23
call-block translation-profile incoming reject_ANI

Many thanks @preetss ... it works now!

Is it possible to block an incoming call on the CallManager too?

how can i do it on the callManager?

What ist the easiest way to block a incoming call?

which methode(on VGW or CCM) is better depend on your experiences?
