I have a Exchange 2003 orginazation with a single Exchange 2003 computer. Before today I had a single virtual SMTP server setup with a smarthost configured so that all email is sent first to a filtering service to rid our incoming email of viruses and spam.

Today I set up a second NIC with a new IP address and second SMTP virtual server. This second SMTP virtual server is to be used for marketing purposes (our filtering company considers these emails as spam) I only need outgoing mail setup on this server , but as soon as I enabled it and restarted the SMTP service , spam emails started pouring into our organization. I'm assuming incoming email is now not going through our external spam filtering company.

Is there a way I can block all incoming emails through this second virtual smtp server?

Configure it on your firewall

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!
