Hey folks I have a problem I hope you can help me with. I have a PC running ME,D-link dfe 520TX adapter,a Blitzz BWA711 Router, and Speedstream 5360 adsl Modem. Now here's the problem "I can't get it to stay on line". I can get to the Router using the default ip address(192.168.1.1).And it sets up for pppoe fine, but when I turn on the modem it only takes me to my homepage and thats IT. Sometimes it will let me get a little farther but it seems to go Braindead after a few minutes.Through talking with the Blitzz techs (and everyone of them had a different solution but none worked)I have yet to get it stable noe I have not even got to the Wireless stage yet I'm Still working on the pc that is tethered to the Router. Now Here's what I've tried,Upgraded the Router's Firmware,Reconfigured my Network settings in different combos(with Blitzz techs support)Restarted the Router,Modem and PC in different combos.Reloaded my Network settings.and tried the other PC I was Going to go Wireless with. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Brimay

Just a guess, but use Google to search on your Speedstream modem. There are some models that require a specially built cable.

I think this is a cabling issue between modem and router.

Couple of thoughts here, you say your 'Homepage' comes up ok, check to see that it's a fresh copy, not cached on your PC. I used to have that Speedstream model and if I remember right it used a regular cat5 cable. I agree with bcastner that it may well be a cable issue. One thing to check is to make sure that the cable between your router and modem isn't a cat5 crossover cable. It needs to be cat5 but just not crossover. Have you tried other cables, can you connect if you bypass the router and go in straight to the modem?
