Blinking text

I have a image with a bunch of pictures and hotspots I want to make one of the hotspots (text) blink on and off.
I export this image to slices and use as a web page header.

either you can do this with css by leaving that spot blank and typing the text in or you can leave that spot blank and insert an animate gif...either way you cant just export the slice and have it blink
if you understand what im talking about then cool but if not let me know which method you want to use and ill walk you thorugh it

I have created an Animated gif which I then export as animated and it works ok by its self, then i import it to the cavas im working on and it still looks ok, then I export the image and slices and the gif that I put on there doesnt show up, its just blank.

What am I doing wrong.

you need to insert the gif manually into your page...you cant export it with a slice...what you can do is slice the area you want to have the gif in then when you view your page in dreamweaver delete that slice and insert the gif instead
