BLF programming on DBS 824

Hi Folks. I was recently was handed a DBS 824 system and asked to get it running temporarily until they can move their regular phone system to the new office. I'm normally a Norstar guy so please forgive my ignorance here. All is OK so far except the BLF module on the reception phone.

I'm aware that I need two ports to run it but am clueless about the programming. I ran the jumpers according to one of the diagrams I found in the manual (two pairs, voice port on pair two and BLF port on pair one).

Obviously I need some special setup on the port with the BLF but can't seem to dig it out. Any suggestions?

As noted above, I've already done that. Unfortunately they are not clear on the programming.

a vendor that knows the dbs and pay to get it done.....

I tried that BEFORE I got the manuals. After several calls here in the Chicago area, they all say it's too old and don't have techs who know the system. Apparently no one here knows it either. Too bad . . .

well If you had an ftp site set up i'dd upload the 824 dbs
pc manager software to you and your troubles would go away.....

This is the only time, ever. to program a BLF. on/off prog key dial the ext hold.
