Hi,

Running 3300 MX 7.1.3.4, I have all sets (5224) programmeds with a multicall key of their own number.
Users can manage two calls.

I have also a 5224 with 48 PKM. Keys are BLF programmed.

When a set has a call engaged on a set, the BLF is not on.
When I have two calls engaged on a set, the corresponding BLF is on.
This is normal way...
BUT, I'd like to light BLF when a set has his first call engaged, operator could know the set is communicating...

I know this can be weird, but this function exists on French PBX (NEXSPAN);

Do you know if it possible with MITEL ?

Regards

Now, it's about French users too !!!

I would get on the phone to Mitel Product Support. What you describe should work. It works fine with the TDM products (SX2000) hence it should also work on the 3300. The whole point of having BLF appearances is to be able to see when the user is engaged on a call, regardless whether that call is on his prime key or a multicall appearance of his prime.

I do not see any mention of this issue in the latest KPI.

Mitel has changed this operation different times on different switches thru different releases. Is the set really busy with a "multicall" when on one of the multicall lines? I have gone thru this with Mitel for years and it has changed a number of times. This may be Mitel's "design intent". I do not have a 3300 running this load but if someone else does and they try it I would bet it is the same and Mitel will give you the above comment.

Oups, syntax error...

the answer is very easy..oups

In system option , you have to enabled :

BLF - Busy Indication based on set enabled: Yes

Easy no ??

Thanks all

Was just gonna give you that answer. It is based on the system option and has been around for some time. I don't recall it changing through the ages, but maybe I just haven't been paying attention.

Hm, I had it enabled but it's interesting feature.

T8keiteasy, would you create another message and mark it as a tip.

FYI, I had a 3300 with that option enabled and it worked without a problem, that is until I upgraded. After the upgrade, it did not work but the option was still enabled. I disabled the option and saved, then re-enabled the option and all was good. It is a great feature.
