What resolution are you running on your monitor....?
I have the same problem running 1024-786 on a 17" monitor. As far as I know you can't resize this so you just have to move it and work round it as you go. You soon get used to it and it's not so much of a problem after a while.
I have a 21" running 1280-1024 at work, that works lovely, wish I had this at home...... funkymonk B-)
