Does anyone know how to blend an image into a background color? I'm trying to develop a banner with a linear brown fade effect. Would like to take my image and turn it's color's into the more brown/white coloring for a nice blend effect -- making it look almost hidden in the background.

Thanks,
Bryan

open the image you want to feather use a pixel selection tool ie the dashed box and select the part you want feathered then go to select>feather and choose the pixelization you want to feather...once done click ctrl+x to cut and then paste it in a new image with the new background color you want.

Turn down the opacity of the image layer. I usually use around 20-25% opacity for a nice blended/faded background effect.
