Does anyone have any experience with this software product? I am using it to grab a file from a remote system though a dialup connection. My scripts run fine when I run them manually, but when run them in the background their hanging. The documentation, for the software indicates that a -n flag is required, but I experience the same problem. After sending emails back and forth to the software support desk, I was informed to use -b, same issue.
What is happening is that the software is transferring the files correctly, but once it has completed it's task it never exits and looks to be looping(By the amount of cpu it starts using up.)
Has anyone else experienced this type of thing with this software or any other communications software?

Thanks,

Some software uses terminal information available during a live login that is not available through cron or other background processes, which could be the cause of your problem.

One way around this is to use the "expect" software from the SCO Skunkware CD for background processing. Expect is basically a programmable terminal script manager that runs a telnet session. You can program expect to telnet to the loopback address (127.0.0.1) of your server, then login and run any process through the expect script language, and exit when complete.
