Hi,

I'm using a VM through the VMware workstation. Is it possible to blank the machine of the host computer, so that it isn't possible to view the activity on the VM? Or to somehow lock out access?

We use the VM to give a user remote access, but I need to make sure that anyone using the host machine couldn't view his activity.

Thanks
David

If the guest is Windows and the user is RDP'ing to it, the console screen locks and doesn't display what the attached use is doing. IF the guest s Linux, and the user attaches via SSH/Telnet then the machine hostig the VM will also not display what the user is doing.

This sounds kind of hinky... like a possible security problem... Please explain your situation in more detail...

You aren't suggesting doing something without the User knowing what's happening on his/her PC? You want them to know, just not interfere or see certain data?

This really smells like a Black Hat thing... set up on a User's PC and walk away, stealing everything in sight--or actually stealing them blind since you don't want them to see what you're doing...
