Weird!!! I am running Terminal Server 2000 and have ACT 2000 installed. Everything seems to run okay, except occasionally a user will log on and the toolbar buttons will be blank. Just gray with no images. Getting all users out of Act and then having them log in again seems to fix the problem, but it is very inconvenient. Any suggestions...?

Is the user utilizing a licensed copy or are they using the same copy as the guy sitting next to them? If more than one person is using the same licensed copy at the same time, ACT will restrict access to the program. Having those users log out, then one logs in again, they can then access the software.

My suggestion would be to buy more licenses, which are becoming very difficult to come by.

thanks Dollie - Actually we have the licenses, but the key is stored in "local machine" so there's only one serial number for the term serv. What I found out is that if someone has an open terminal server session and Act isn't completely closed down, or there is a corruption in the database, we run into this problem when they try to initiate a second session. It also happens more often when they are on a slow bandwidth connection - probably something to do with caching bitmaps.

Who knows. I haven't had much luck with Act in general - we see a lot of corruption when database activity gets too high. Wow do I sound grumpy - I'm going for coffee now.
anyways - thanks for the tip.
