While I have been on the internet from my home computer, all of a sudden the screen will go blank and I hear 3 beeps Repeatedly, then the screen will come on for about 1 second then go blank and start beeping again. This has happened 2 times within the past two weeks and when I'm only on the internet. I use MS Internet Explorer 5.0 and Window 98SE. I will end up having to just turn the power off to get out of that loop when I do this and reboot Windows loses my modem. All I do then is a regular shutdown, power off for about 5 minutes, then reboot again then everthing will be all right for who knows for how long. Any suggestions will help me a lot. Thank you

If it is only Internet, I would agree to start withthe modem. Try new drivers and a new onborad BIOS for the modem as well as physically changing the modem.
Jeff
masterracker@hotmail.com

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most ...

I don't think that a new modem would be nessicary. Check for any upgrages or patches for your modem the next time that you are on the internet.

Check out:
<A HREF=" TARGET="_new">

If that doesn't work, then a new modem may be the solution.
Geo Miller
Georules@onebox.com
