blank screen in hyperTerminal when booting cisco router

Hi,
I got balnk screen in hyperTerminal when trying to configure my 2600 cisco router I tryied to change the buad rate but nothing. any idea please.

Tell us exactly how you are connecting, what cable, what port, what OS, what emulator, step by step, including emulator settings.

I connect the router to my laptop through console cable.
and start HypberTerminal which is bulitin win xp . that's it.

Also, you have the DB9-RJ45, rollover cable?

Dear Frineds,
the setting is the default for cisco router I think every one knows it.( Baud rate is 9600 )
I think we are bigger than didn't know how to configre the router or even which cable to use.
any one with new idea please.

Well, I have never had a problem with all the correct settings, etc. Obviously, it is either you are doing something wrong, or some hardware is faulty. Historically, it is 95% user error, but no---you must be Mr. Perfect, so God forbid YOU ever make a mistake...

Take everything back to the store, start fresh with new hardware. Nobody is going to help until you give all pertinent information. I guarantee you're doing something wrong...

The problem you are having is noted at the bottom of the page. Be sure you are using the correct cable is what they are saying.
