Using an Adaptec AIC-7902 Ultra320 SCSI controller with HostRAID 4.x.x.x -- RAID 1 configuration is in place and bootable.

I'm trying to install Windows 2003 to a RAID 1 config.

When setup is done copying files and reboots for the first time, the system posts correctly and procedes to the "Starting Windows" screen before going blank (with a slight flicker) and then sits there forever.

The Windows 2003 disc has been tested on another machine and works correctly in a non-RAID configuration. I have tried installing different versions of the Adaptec driver (F6 for third party SCSI/RAID drivers during setup) and nothing seems to work. Windows detects the drive(s) naturally, creates and formats the partition and then copies the files over... just like it should -- it just won't boot back into the setup and continue.

Any thoughts?

The Adaptec AIC-7902 is not a card itself but a chipset used on several of host adapters, the Adaptec SCSI Card 29320-R, 39320D, 39320D-R, 39320-R, & 39320A-R.
It could be possible you are just not using the right driver. Does your card come with some management software (loaded at the BIOS).
You will need to verify the card type you are running before installing.
Hope this helps.
