Blank Reports problem 1

Hello,
I have an app that is having an intermittent problem with reports coming up "blank" when run - meaning that the basic structure of the report shows up (headings and graphic lines and so forth) but no data is filled in. This seems to happen only on certain reports and only on certain PCs. (All reports work fine on some PCs). I have searched on the internet for an answer to this issue. I found one or two other inquiries about this but no cause or solution (one response was "could be a memory problem", another was "check the printer drivers"). These don't make much sense to me.

I will say that the reports are being run out of a VB6 application using Access automation, but I don't know if that is germaine to the problem, as the other posts I've seen mentioned above were running Access stand-alone.

Has anyone encountered this blank report issue? Any solutions?

Thanks much,
Bruce

With regards to the advice about checking the printer drivers - If you don't have a valid printer installed then you can have problems in Access with Reports.

I came across this problem a while ago. A single user of one of my databases could not open or view his reports correctly. Everytihg worked fine for everyone else and it was driving me mad.

After Googling the problem, I checked his printers and found that his PC and recently been upgraded and he hadn't installed any printers. Once I installed his default network printer all the reports worked fine.

Weird huh?

Hey addy,
I appreciate you taking the time to respond. My colleague who is responsible for setting up the user's PCs does not think that this is the issue, but we will be checking into it. If we can definitively determine the cause for this issue, I will post back here. In any event, your help is much appreciated.
