Good morning,
Is there a way to add a blank record to the end of a report that will create a record that the receiving parties system will then discard as a control record. I send a data report to a company that requires a control record at the end of the file (last record) and it then ignores that position. I have tried to add the record as a group footer but when I export (to Character separated value, ASCII) it appends the footer to each record and that invalidates the record layout.
Can anyone help me with this?
thanks,
Stan

Not knowing the record layout makes it difficult to give good advice.

You might create a formula which appends a carriage return ( CHR(13) ) and a series of character seperated values to the end of the report based on the ONLASTRECORD function.

I would try either a suppressed formula in whatever section your rows are displayed, or perhaps in the report footer.
