I wanted to see if it was possible to have a blank password for a local user on an XP workstation which has been joined to the domain. Our password policy on the domain is set to lockout user after 5 invalid logon attempts. The local user logs onto the workstation locally as we have setup local policy to restrict the workstation.

Once joined to the domain you should not be able to have a blank password. Test it out so you can see fo r yourself.
