When I Print Preview a report I get every other page with no data. I've only got one ListItem object on the page. If I export the report to .pdf, then the report is fine with no blank pages.

I made sure the page width and height were fine to match with the margin sizes.

You need to check all your objects on the report. If they have the "can increase to accomodate contents" property checked or if something you did in report design caused them to expand, then you'll never know it just by checking your margins and your page size, because it doesn't reflect there.

The only option is to literally go into the Report Designer and see, by the ruler tool on the top, how wide and long your report is. I'd advise resizing all your tables/textboxes/matrices/etc. width wise first, then height wise second. After that, resize the body so it is the same size as what the report properties thinks it is.

I also recommend turning off the "can increase" property for each object unless you really really need it on.

I would amend Catadmin's last comment to read.....
......unless you really, really, really, really, really need to have it on.

That property has caused me more problems than all the other bugs in RS put together !

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

LOL.

You are SOOOO right, Xlbo!!! @=)

I had the privledge of going over RS with my boss yesterday. He couldn't believe it when I told him about this particular issue. His comment was "Wow, this feels like a beta copy!"

I just about fell out of my chair trying not to laugh. @=)

indeed - when I was asked to try this out, I was told that MS had pushed forwards the release due to demand - my 1st comment was:

"what - so we're gonna be beta testing it?"

"oh no replies the boss - it's fine"

he's currently crawling up walls at some of the "quirks" we have found (oh no - they're not bugs - they're "unexpected functionality")

Thanks to all!

I did resolve the issue by decreasing the width a tick.

Unfortunately, the fields are text boxes, so I've got to allow them to grow.

Thanks for the heads up though!
