Can someone help me.

I have a LaserJet 2200 and between printouts a blank page comes out (I guess it is a separation page). I was told by the user that every print out from any program sends out a blank page between print jobs. I did webjet admin and I could not find any settings to turn that off. I looked at the printer settings on our print server for that printer and I did not see any settings for that. Let me add that even printouts that do not require the print server still print the separation page. So that led me to believe that it is printer specific. Can someone help me out. I bet I just overlooked where the spot to set the setting. I dont have the service manual for this printer and the user guide did not help much unless I was so frustrated that I again overlooked it.

Thanks

Charlie

If you are using Novel, the printer driver from the computer could add in the seperation page. Seen it on version novell 4.11

Even so, does everybody have this problem. You didn't mention if it was connect via network, usb, or Parallel.

Thanks,

Sorry yes it is connected to the network. It is on a 2000 server but we are also running novell on the client side. That was something overlooked.

Keep them coming.

Are you connected to the printers via Novell?

If so, go to the printer driver and look at the properties. There is a checkbox (from what I remember) that needs to be unchecked so the page wont come out.

Hi guys,

We are using novell for our file system and workstations. This printer in question is not on a Novell print server it is on a w2k server. Xeroxvendor: Are you talking about properties in Novell or W2K? I checked novell and the only thing I can think of in there was banner page which I unchecked. Thanks guys for your help.

In your system try, right click the red N and pick Novell Client Properties. On the default capture tab, uncheck "Form Feed".

Also, in the printer properties on the computer, there is also a "Form Feed" check mark on one of the tabs. I don't remember which one, and I don't have a printer configured to look at.

I think longneck was referring to the seperation page in the printer drivers. Find your printer driver, goto it's properties, and then the advanced tap. Bottom of window on the right is the button for a seperator page. Make sure this is clear.
