I need to produce a daily form that will list the assignments given to each technician for the day. A tech can have as many as 5 assignments; some days a tech will have just one. I can produce the form with the required vertical and horizontal lines. However, now the client wants a sumary in the page footer. Not a problem. But he also wants the rest of the page filled with horizontal and vertical lines in case the tech has new assignments that he needs to fill in by hand. I tried using the page footer but that didn't seem to work. Help would be much appreciated.

I'm guessing you have a group on technician. Format the group header with new page before, by using a formula in the group header section suppression area:

not onfirstrecord

Then you could add multiple group footer sections, e.g, GF_a to GF_h, or whatever it takes to fill the page and add lines to each. Then conditionally suppress each section using formulas like this:

count({table.field},{table.technician}) > 5

Change the number for each section.

Another way to do this might be to create a grid in a page header section (stretch it to page size) and format it to underlay following sections--if you have a grid displayed for all details and not just lines for extras.
