Blank in result?

What does it mean when my result display blank data?

I have a formula ({#CountRisk}*{TB_FEES.UNIT_RATE}) on my report footer. I did the check x+2 check within the formula editor and no error found but when I ran the report, this field is blank. Why? My unit_rate is a currency field.

If I hard code the rate in the formula it works. Any ideas?

One of the values is probably null, so test:

if isnull({#CountRisk}) or isnull({TB_FEES.UNIT_RATE}) then
0
else
({#CountRisk}*{TB_FEES.UNIT_RATE})
