Blank emails to Groupwise from Exchange users

Dear All,

We have GW 6.5.3, XP, Netware 6 and GWIA is 5.5.4 (some didn't upgrade not me). This has been the case for about a year now. Recently we have had some support calls re people receiving emails which are blank, mainly from users of Exchange.

If we reply to the message including the message, then the message appears. This is a bit of a pain. If the user at the Exchange end sends a plain text message, then it come thru. if they send plain text with an attachment, then it doesn't come thru.

The GW user has HTML viewing enabled.

The message has the following -
"This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

------_=_NextPart_001_01C6B086.12988D8C
Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=
"----_=_NextPart_002_01C6B086.12988D8C"

------_=_NextPart_002_01C6B086.12988D8C
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable"

It looks like (I might be wrong), that they are sening it via MIME, US-ASCII and GW can't translate this.

Any ideas, anyone ?

We get this somwtimes and it's usually an HTML issue. Try changing the settings from HTML to plain text and you should be able to read them fine.
