Blank digital base extensions

I have a client that is coming from a CM and is used to using TTI everywhere across their 9 locations.

We have had to check “force login” because after a user logs out of their phone, they automatically return to their base extension even if someone else is logged in.

They are also mixing in IP phones and are getting errors when they try to create a H323 extension but it already exists as a digital.

My idea is to blank out all the base extensions. But I have never done that before and am curious if there are any foreseeable problems.

I wouldn’t even ask but the original installers already had some people hot-desked onto a blank extension port, so I know, at least in theory that it will work.

Thanks for the input!

Thanks!

It will be no problem at all, I always blank all ports not used or when used for a call center.

The IPO does not have something called TTI.
But there is an option where you can auto create IP extensions (9.0 has it for digital and analog phones too)
You can remove the extension number in the IPO.
But you say the customer is used to TTI while a customer should use PSA :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks guys.

What is TTI?

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Terminal Translation Initialization (TTI)

With TTI you can, on a CM, assign (and remove) a station to or from a port.

Ta... one would believe you'd been on a CM course (gone to the dark side)! ;-)

I did last week :)
Otherwise I wouldn't know it either.

yeah, unfortunately its a necessary evil to know the terminology at least when customers start talking about Vectors, COS, COR, and junk like that. I just glad the IPO doesn't have stuff like that in it. TTI or PSA is very similar to hot-desking in the IPO.

Thanks!
